New Delhi, May 23: Indian Army today said it has launched punitive fire assaults on Pakistani Army posts in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir with a view to check infiltration from across the border.
A video released by the Army shows loud explosions and thick smoke rising from Pakistani posts after a round of heavy firing from India. According to a senior Army official, the pro-active ‘counter-terrorism’ operations were carried out recently.
“As part of our anti-terror strategy, punitive fire assaults are carried out from time to time. Pakistani posts have been actively helping infiltration,” the officer said.
