Online registration for admission through lateral Entry under PMSSS from May 22

Srinagar/May,20: In a significant decision, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced registration of diploma holders in engineering from J&K for admission through lateral entry under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS).
“Online registration of eligible students from J&K who have passed diploma in engineering programs during the year 2015-16 from the polytechnics located within the State of Jammu and Kashmir will start from 22 May 2017 for Lateral Entry Admission in Engineering Stream (2nd Year) during the academic year 2017-18,” said a notification issued by AICTE.
It said the students with diploma in engineering can register online on http:// www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
“After registration on AICTE Portal, the students may visit nearest Facilitation Centers in J&K to get their documents verified by or before 15th June 2017 till 5:00 PM,” the notification said adding that only after the verification of all original documents by Facilitation Centres, application of candidate will be considered for PMSSS 2017-18.
In Kashmir division the Facilitation Centre for PMSSS have been established at Sri Pratap College, Srinagar, Government Degree College,
(Women) M.A. Road, Srinagar, Government Degree College for Boys, Anantnag, Government Degree College Bijbehara, Government Degree College (Boys) Baramulla, Government Degree College (Boys) Sopore, Government Degree College Pattan, Government Degree College (Boys) Kupwara,  Government Degree College (SAM) Budgam, Government Degree College Kulgam, Government Degree College Boys Pulwama, Government Degree College Tral, Government Degree College Shopian, Government Degree College Leh, Government Degree College Kargil, Government Degree College Bandipora, Government Degree College Ganderbal, Government Degree College Dooru and Government Degree College Chrar-e-Sharief.
In Jammu Division the Facilitation Centres have been set up at Govt GM Science College Canal Road Jammu, Govt College for Women Gandhi
Nagar Jammu, Government Degree College Boys Kathua, Government Degree College Bani, Government Degree College Boys Udhampur, Government Degree College Rajouri, Government Degree College Poonch Poonch, Government Degree College Reasi, Government Degree College Doda, Government Degree College Ramban, Government Degree College Banihal, Government Degree College Bhaderwah, Government Degree College Kishtwar, Government Degree College Marwah, Government Degree College Samba, Government Degree College R S Pura and Government Degree College Mendhar.
