Srinagar/May,20: Hurriyat (G) on Saturday said that the authorities disallowed a meeting of the group convened to discuss the ‘sting operation’ conducted by a Delhi-based TV channel.
A spokesman said that the meeting was to discuss the issue of Provincial President Nayeem Khan against whom the ‘sting operation’ was conducted by the news channel.
“But forces in large numbers cordoned off the residence of Geelani Sahab in Hyderpora where the meeting was to take place,” he said.
Meanwhile, a National Investigation Team (NIA) has reached Srinagar to investigate the transfer of funds, days after the news channel broadcast the “sting operation” claiming some separatist leaders confessed to receiving funds from Pakistan.
