Srinagar/May,13: Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that her government would think about providing security to Hurriyat leaders if they ask for it.
“If anyone asks security then we will think about it,” Mehbooba told reporters on the sidelines of a function at TRC here.
She was replying to a question whether her government would provide security to Hurriyat leaders in the backdrop of threat by Zakir Musa.
Earlier, Hizb ul Mujahideen dissociated itself from anti-Hurriyat statement and called it as ‘personal opinion’ of Zakir Musa.
Later, the militant commander quit the outfit, saying he stands by his statement and will not die for a secular state.
