Works Minister reviews status of Bandipora power transmission line

Srinagar/May,12: Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar Friday reviewed the status of construction work on the vital Bandipora power transmission line.
The Minister directed the officials to immediately remove all bottlenecks acting as impediment for its construction.
The Minister was speaking at a meeting convened to review the construction of the transmission line. The meeting was attended by Revenue Commissioner, Power Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners of Ganderbal and Bandipora and other officials.
The Minister was informed that some issues related to alignment of the transmission line have led to slowing of the construction work. The Minister directed the officials to sort out all the issues at the earliest.
The Minister constituted a committee of Deputy Commissioners of Bandipora and Ganderbal who along with other officials will visit the ground site on Sunday and submit a report to the Minister by Monday. The Minister said upon receiving of the report the final decision will be immediately taken and work on transmission line will be taken to final conclusion at the earliest.
The Minister said with the completion of the transmission line, power shortage in the district will be largely addressed, which will give a huge relief to public.
