Inter school tournaments held at Gundana, Ghat zones

Gundana/May,11: An Inter School Tournament was Thursday organized here at Government Higher Secondary School Mehalla wherein over one hundred students drawn from various schools of Gundana Zone participated.

Organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports,  the   event witnessed Kabaddi and Kho-Kho competitions of boys and girls in the age group of U/14 and U/17.

Zonal Physical Education Officer Gundana, Chain Singh supervised the event.

The tournament was inaugurated by the Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School Mehalla in which around 105 boys and girls participated.

In Boys category U/17 Kabaddi match, HSS Boys Jathali beat HS Khankoot by 09 points. In Kho-Kho HSS Boys Mehalla defeated HS Khankoot by 02 points.

In Girls category U/14 Kho-Kho, Govt. Middle School Dongroo beat Middle School Battal by 03 points. In boys category U/14 Kho-Kho Boys Middle School Battal beat HSS Mehalla by 03 points.

Meanwhile a similar Zonal Level Inter School Tournament was held in  Ghat Zone by Department of Youth Services and Sports Thursday, under the guidance of District Youth Service and Sports Officer Doda,   Ashoke Kotwal and   Zonal Physical Education Officer Ghat, Mool Raj Uttam.

Over 200 students participated of various schools participated  in the tournament which was declared open by the Principal HSS Ghat,   Shahida Khan.
