Udhampur/May,12: Excise sleuths from Udhampur- Reasi Range laid a naka on Jammu- Srinagar National highway near Udhampur to check the toll evasion.
A Number of vehicles were put to check and an amount of Rs 8000 was recovered as fine from violators of the various provisions of the J&K Levy of Toll act. The team was led by Excise and Taxation Officer, Suresh Sharma and Inspector Rajesh Verma
In order to curb the toll evasion, the naka was laid on the directions of Excise Commissioner J&K, Mohammad Javed Khan and under the active supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu, Ganshyam Singh.
