Srinagar, May 11: Lashing out at PDP for playing with the emotions of people, the Congress on Thursday said that the party is befooling people of Kashmir over initiating dialogue process with all the stakeholders including the separatists.
While reacting to the statement made by PDP leader Muhammad Sartaj Madni wherein he had stated that the dialogue without Hurriyat is meaningless, the Congress said that the different stands of the coalition partners are testimony to the fact that the agenda of alliance between them sans dialogue process to address the Kashmir issue.
In a statement issued to KNS, the Congress spokesperson said that the PDP has backstabbed the people of Kashmir as it has sell out before the BJP for the lust of power.
He said that the bonhomie between PDP-BJP has come to an end in true sense, but the lust for power doesn’t allow them to break this unholy alliance.
The Congress spokesman said that such betrayal by the PDP against the people of Kashmir has to be stopped as it has resulted in the sufferings of people in every aspect.
He said that the dialogue is the only way to resolve the issues and in case the problem is not addressed, the people of Kashmir would continue to suffer. (KNS)
