Jammu/May,9: Member, J&K Legislative Council, Vikram Randhawa, Tuesday convened a meeting with Jammu Municipal Corporation to review the working of the corporation.
During the course of meeting, officer of JMC apprised about the working of their respective sections.
The MLC said there is need to create awareness among general masses about the importance of Swachh Bharat Mission to achieve success in this noble mission.
Joint Commissioner, R.S. Jamwal, apprised of different projects being executed under AMRUT by JMC and added that after completion of the said projects, sanitation scenario as well as development aspect will be improved to a large extent. He gave details of some ongoing projects like Pedestrian Pathway at Peerkho, Installation of intelligent traffic signal lights at new identified locations, Ramp based parking at Panjtirthi, development of Green Spaces etc.
