Srinagar/May,9: Minister for Forests, Ecology & Environment, Choudhary Lal Singh Tuesday chaired a meeting to discuss CAPEX budget for 2017-18.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Sectary Forest, Chief Conservator Forest, PCCF Wildlife, Directors of Soil Conservation, Environment, FPFF, FPF and other officers.
The financial plan and the allotment of funds for various projects were discussed in the meeting while directing the officials to speed up the work and show positive results on ground.
Singh directed the officials to construct four composite centers in Jammu and four in Kashmir which will include Cafeteria with toilets attached to it. He said it will be a step towards boosting of tourism.
During the meeting, the Minister instructed officials to work on nurseries where one can find every variety of plants and flowers and announced establishment of six nurseries which includes three nurseries in each division.
Stressing upon the need to preserve forests and to take care of wildlife, the Minister asked officials to repair the damaged fencing and to put barbed wire to fence the forest.
