Jammu/May,8: Deputy Commissioner, Rajeev Ranjan Monday held a public grievances redressal camp at Akhnoor to take stock of problems being faced by the people.
SDMs Akhnoor, Khour, Chowki Choura and officers of all major departments including Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD, RDD, PHE and Revenue department were present on the occasion.
A large number of people hailing from Akhnoor, Mairan Mandrian, Chowki Choura, Khour and its adjoining areas attended the camp and put forth their grievances related to better road connectivity, sanitation, water, power supply, healthcare facilities, old age pension, clearance of liabilities under MGNREGA ,construction of Community hall at Marian Mandrian, auditorium for cultural program and water harvesting tanks.
Responding to the issues raised by the people with regard to Virasat Intikaal, DDC directed the revenue officers to complete the process of same within one month.
He also directed the concerned officers for organizing awareness camps for farmers on regular basis besides ensuring repair of damaged water pipes.
The DDC asked RDD officers to put thrust on asset creation for public utility under convergence of MGNREGA with other schemes.
The District Development Commissioner assured the people that their issues would be redressed in a time bound manner.
