Budgam/May 06: Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, as a prelude to the upcoming District Development Board meeting of Budgam, chaired a meeting Saturday to take comprehensive review of progress made under district Capex 2016-17.
Legislator Saif-ud-din Bhat, DDC Budgam, SSP Budgam, SE and XENs of various engineering wings and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed in detail by Development Commissioner Mir Altaf Ahmad about various developmental projects and major achievements of the previous fiscal.
Macadamization/black topping of roads, implementation of District Annual Plan, District Credit Plan, PHE Schemes, PMGSY Schemes, construction and up gradation of PHCs / Hospitals, bridges, activities of Yousmarg, Tosaimaidan & Doodhpatri Development Authorities, street lighting, progress under Horticulture, Handloom and Industrial sectors were reviewed threadbare in the meeting.
On the occasion, the Minister while highlighting that the valley has a limited working season, stressed upon prioritization of works in each sector for their completion within the fixed timeline. He emphasized on the need and significance for increased coordination and convergence of the activities of various Departments for desired outcomes.
Lauding the performance of the district administration, legislator Saif-ud-din Bhat appreciated the equity in disbursement of welfare benefits in different constituencies of the district.
