MoS Finance takes stock of public grievances

Reasi/May,4: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda Thursday conducted an extensive tour of Bhabbar Brahmna, Kundra and Dera Baba areas and took stock of public issues.

The Minister sanctioned 25 KV transformer to augment power infrastructure in Bhabbar area and instructed the engineers to prepare necessary DPRs for various components to improve delivery of essential services in water and power sectors.

The Minister also assured the people for completion of link road from Bamial to Dera Baba via Bhabbar which would be alternate connectivity for Reasi. He said Government would make all out efforts in developing Dera Baba shrine as major tourist destination in the district.

While speaking at Kundra, He further said the matter of upgradation of existing high school Kundra to higher secondary would soon be taken up with the Education Minister.

Responding to development issues as raised by locals, Ajay Nanda said Government is fully committed to provide better roads, adequate drinking water, power supply, quality education and infrastructure in rural areas.

Nanda reiterated the resolve of the state government in implementing several projects in all parts of the state which is the main ingredient for socio economic upliftment of poor people in particular and overall development of region in general.

He further outlined the determination of the government in assisting the poor and vulnerable sections of the society and said keen efforts are being made to provide good governance at their door steps.

He called upon the people to avail benefits of central and state sponsored schemes.

Engineers, Prominent citizens, sarpanches and panches besides large number of people were present on the occasion.
