Agri Minister for timely completion of Chrar-i-Sharief dev projects

Budgam/May,4: Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Friday convened a meeting to review progress of various developmental works taken under Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Convergence program and Rural Sanitation in the Chrar-i-Sharief Constituency here Friday.

District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, Assistant Development Commissioner Budgam and other officers of Rural Development Department were present in the meeting.

The meeting was told that an amount of Rs 3.40 Crore have been spent on different developmental works in the Constituency under MGNREGA during year 2016-2017 and 617 works out of 709 planned works were completed till ending March 2017.

It was given out that Rs 3.5 crore have been released under MGNREGA  which will generated 1 lakh  mandays for first quarter of current fiscal in Chrar-i- Sharief Constituency.

The meeting also held detailed discussions on progress of works under Convergence program, CDF and Rural Sanitation taken in hand in the Constituency. It was said out of 43 works taken up for execution, 32 works have been completed at a cost of 40 lakh. Further it was said an amount of Rs 25 lakh was spent on 30 Indra Awass Yojna (IAY) cases.

Under Rural Sanitation, the meeting was informed that out of 1630 works, 930 work stand completed at  Rs 3.08 crore.

On the occasion, the Minister directed the officials of the district administration to gear up their field functionaries and speed up the pace of work on all developmental works under execution in the Chrar-i-Sharief Constituency. He stressed on timely completion of all the pending works.

He also directed the concerned for judicious use of funds and urged them not to compromise on quality of work.

Hanjura asked the officers to conduct frequent field visits and redress the issues and grievances of the people on priority.
