Srinagar/May,4: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Thursday convened a meeting to review the progress of implementation of High Level Committee (HLC) decisions regarding acquisition of structures/shops coming under the alignments of Syed Meerak Shah Road, Khanyar-Zadibal-Pandach Road, Circular Road Project and other PWD road projects under execution in the district.
The DC was informed that most of the cases are pending for want of proper indents or possession certificates from the PWD Department. He directed the SE Circular Road Project (Srinagar) to ensure submission of possession certificates and submission of indents wherever pending. He also directed the Collectors to ensure disbursement of land compensation to the settled/cleared cases in the said road projects.
During the meeting, it was given out that an amount of Rs. 28.50 crore has been placed at the disposal of Collectors of the district for acquisition of structures or land coming under widening of the said road projects.
The DC directed all the Collectors to ensure speedy disposal of all land acquisition cases and strict implementation of all the HLC decisions taken from time to time for clearance of all bottlenecks in these road projects.
The DC also reviewed the land acquisition status of National Highway Athawajan to Parimpora, Jahangir-Karan Nagar-SKIMS Road, Buchpora-Hazratbal Road, Batmaloo–Qamarwari Road, Qamarwari-Parimpora Road, Pantha Chowk-Zewan Road and Zewan-Sempora Road.
Concerned Collectors, Joint Director Planning (Srinagar) and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
