Srinagar/ May,4: Government forces on Thursday afternoon called off the search operation in Shopian district of south Kashmir after more than eight hours.
Officials said that an “unprecedented” search operation was launched in over twelve villages of Shopian district following inputs about the presence of militants.
In at least three villages, forces had to face protests from locals, including women.
Residents alleged that forces vandalized property during the operation.
