Srinagar/April,29: BJP president Amit Shah arrived in Jammu for two days to discuss Kashmir situation.
Shah arrived at the Jammu airport early on Saturday. He was welcomed by ministers and party leaders and was later taken to the government guest house in a big cavalcade in a scooter and motorcycle rally.
Sources said that Amit Shah shortly after reaching Jammu held closed-door meetings with top state BJP leaders and discussed the party’s strategy for J&K and “its future plans.”
The visit assumes significance in view of the deteriorating security condition in the state and tension between coalition partners – the BJP and the PDP – following certain remarks made by some BJP leaders and a minister.
