Schedule for recruitment of SIs in JK Police for Kashmir Province notified

Jammu/April,27: Jammu and Kashmir Police Recruitment Board (Sis) Thursday notified the schedule for Physical Endurance Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST) for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors in J&K Police under TRP for the candidates of Kashmir Province who have applied online in response to  PHQ J&K Advertisement issued under endorsement No.Per-A-400  /2016/75303-403 dated 30-12-2016. & Pers-A-400 /2016/75404- 504 dated 30-12-2016.
The Board has processed all the application forms and various events related to tests in the Kashmir Province will commence from 13th May 2017.
According to the schedule, in the Physical Endurance Test, six and half minutes shall be allocated for 1600 meters  long race for males and 1000 meters for females; 20 push-ups for male candidates (one cycle up and down to be counted as one). The shotput of 4 kgs shall be for female candidates only. There will be three attempts of 14 and half feet.
Similarly, Physical Measurement Test(PMT) will include measurement of height and chest. The candidates are also required to carry their original documents for scrutiny during the PMT. While minimum height five feet and six inch has been fixed for males, the unexpanded chest has to be 32 inches and expanded 33 and half inches. The height for females has to be five feet and two inches.
The height for state subject candidates belonging to Ladakh Region and Gorkha Community has to be minimum five feet and four inches while their unexpanded chest should be 32 inches and expanded 33 and half inches. The height of the female state subject candidates belonging to Ladakh region and the Gorkha community has to be five feet.
According to the Chairman of the Board, the candidates who will successfully qualify the Physical Endurance Tests (PET) and Physical Standard Tests (PST) would thereafter be called for a multiple choice written test. The written test would comprise of a question paper of 85 marks  (Multiple choice) of two hours duration based on graduation level.
The candidates have been asked to download their admit cards from J&K Police Website (date to be notified separately). The admit card shall provide the exact date and venue of the event.
The candidates are nevertheless, advised to look out for details in the local News Papers and also regularly update themselves on J&K Police website  ( www.jkpolice.gov.in)
The candidates have also been advised to prepare for the Physical Endurance Tests (PET) and Physical Standard Tests (PST) in the right earnest.
