Jammu/April,27: The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga Thursday inaugurated Health Sub-Centre of Family Welfare Department at Birpur Jammu constructed by Public Works Department (R&B) at a cost of Rs 59 lakh. The health sub-centre besides adequate healthcare infrastructure, has a waiting room for patients and attendants and accommodation for doctors and other staff.
The Minister said government has paid focused attention to upgrade existing health infrastructure in every part of the state including this area. The Minister assured that he will take up the local demand for early opening of a Primary Health Centre in the area.
Congratulating the people, the Minister said the double storey health sub-centre will provide all basic facilities to the locals.
The locals also put forth their demands including Ambulance for health sub centre, upgradation of roads, improved power and drinking water supply.
Minister gave them patient hearing and assured that their genuine demands would be readdressed as early as possible.
Among others, ex- Sarpanch, Gautam Singh, ex-Panchs, a large number of people, besides CMO, Samba, Dr. Seema Gupta, BMO, Purmandal, Dr. Ashok K Choudhary, X-en, PWD, K S Nathyal, AEE, PWD, Rajesh Sumbria and other senior officers of concerned departments were present.
