Srinagar/April,22: Ridiculing Indian PM Narinder Modi for his statement that “army saved lives in Kashmir floods’’, Hurriyat Conference (G) called it a brazen lie and said, not a single person was rescued by Indian forces, however they take away a big share of the state budget for helicopter services provided to its army personnel.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Hurriyat (G) said that Indian forces inflicted atrocities to people in state and never treated them as humans.
Commenting over the statement of Modi, Hurriyat (G) said that the misleading statement was issued at a time when its forces are thrashing youth and using as human shields. The video clips are uploaded on social, media to create fear psychosis, said Hurriyat (G).
Hurriyat Conference (G) said that they killed nine youth on April nine to stage election drama and injured as many hundreds. It is a deliberate attempt to cover up war crimes committed by its forces, said Hurriyat, while referring to Mr. Modi’s statement.
Hurriyat (G) said that Indian army during 2014 deluge, rescued and airlifted families of the government forces, tourists and some non-state Hindus, ‘’but they didn’t show any kind of sympathy for the local people and they only dropped some expired biscuit packets among them at few places”. Later they grabbed a hefty amount as service charges from local administration, said Hurriyat
Hurriyat Conference (G) said that stone pelting is a resentment for bullet and pelt policy. People are being killed, blinded and maimed, said Hurriyat. Hurriyat in its statement made it clear that Indian authorities through its colonial mindset continue its occupation and their forces are carrying genocide in a well thought design.
Meanwhile, decrying over nineties like crackdown and inflicting atrocities over civilians in Kanelvan Bijbehara, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that resorting to military might, assault and humiliating womenfolk is highly shameful act. APHC said that threat statements issued by BJP leaders is adding fuel to the fire & deteriorating already charged situations.
Expressing shock, Hurriyat (G) said that local administration instead of taking any action is acting as mute spectator. Hurriyat while referring to recent statement of Mr. Ram Madhav, said that it looks as if his statement has conferred a free hand to its forces for their cold-hearted activities. It has created a scare among civilian population, said Hurriyat. In an issued statement Hurriyat said that there is no guarantee of life and dignity & sexual assault is being employed as a war weapon against women.
Hurriyat (G) in its statement said that no one was arrested or prosecuted for Chanpora, Kunan Poshpora & Langate mass rape incidents.
Hurriyat while referring to statement of Ex Home Minister Lal Krishan Advani, said that it is on record wherein he denied any enquiry against perpetrators, saying that such investigations can affect their morale. Do or die option has mounted out of these appalling situations, Hurriyat said as they are pursuing the same policy and pushing people against wall.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (G) expressed shock for intimidating its party activist, Nisar Ahmad and said if any untoward happens to him, the authorities will be held responsible and shall have to face consequences.
Hurriyat (G) said that said activist is running a shop in Peer Bagh Hyderpora and some pro-Indian activists threatened him for his pro-freedom activities. During recent bye election, not a single vote was casted in said area and this frustrated these unscrupulous elements and now playing folly, said Hurriyat. It is an open admission that those pleading for “Battle of Ideas’’ ‘have lost their senses and mental balance.
