Srinagar/April,22: Body of an unidentified person, who was allegedly hit by a vehicle, was Saturday recovered in the summer capital here Saturday.
Official sources here Saturday said that panic gripped Parimpora in city outskirts, when some locals saw body of a man lying on roadside.
The locals immediately informed the police, they said, adding a team was immediately rushed to the spot and the body was taken away.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the man, who was about 70-year-old, was hit by a vehicle which led to his death, they said.
Police have registered a hit and run case and initiated investigation to identify the accused driver, they said, adding the identity of the deceased is also being asserted.
