Speaker Assembly inaugurates DIPR’s photo exhibition – ‘Celebrating Diversity’

Jammu/ April, 17: Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta inaugurated a photo exhibition on the theme ‘celebrating diversity’ organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) at Kala Kendra here Thursday.
Secretary Kala Kendra Soujanya Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Kavinder Gupta appreciated the efforts by Department of Information and Public Relations in organizing this exhibition which brings the rich cultural diversity and heritage under one roof besides providing an opportunity to photographers, photojournalists from the state to showcase their skill and talents.
The Speaker also appreciated works by photojournalists for their outstanding works that showcases the rich and indomitable spirit of Jammu that stands tall and united in the face of every opposition.
He further said Jammu is a rich blend of diversity and this exhibition brings together that culture and diversity in perfect harmony.
He urged people of Jammu to be a part of this exhibition and encourage the efforts by these journalists besides experiencing this vibrant display.
The photo exhibition had various sections dedicated to state heritage, architecture, culture, shrines, besides giving due diligence to the changing face of the state by concerted development efforts of the government.
The exhibition showcased works from many photojournalists and photographers including Surjit Singh, Raman Raina, Sanjay Gupta, Vishal Sharma, Channi Anand, Anand Sharma, Anzal Shah besides a major section of the photographs showcased were provided by the DIPR.
