Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Jammu/ April, 17:  Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Wednesday.

Khan briefed the Governor about the obtaining environment in the Valley and tentative plans regarding holding of Panchayat elections which had been originally envisaged to be conducted by March 2017.
