New Delhi, Apr 19: India is all set to leapfrog from the present 155th position to world’s top five in the digital connectivity within the next 5-6 years, Electronics & IT Secretary Aruna Sundararajan said here today.
Ms Sundararajan was talking to the mediapersons after launching the report of ‘Index of Internet Readiness of Indian States’, published by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Nielsen.
“The digital footprint of our country is growing and India is one of the most rapidly digitising economies in the world with the telecom industry leading the change”, She said.
As a recognition for the country’s steps in the Cyber world, India will be the host of the fifth edition of the Global Conference on Cyber Space (GCCS) in October this year, Ms Sundararajan said.
