Baramulla/ April, 17: District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash Wednesday convened a meeting to discuss the measures with regard to horticulture census.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, ACR, SDM’s of Sopore, Gulmarg, Pattan, Chief Horticulture officer and officers from revenue Department attended the meeting.
The meeting took a thorough review of horticulture sector of the district. The DDC urged the concerned authorities to undertake the census of fruit and non fruit bearing trees in the district. He also directed for assessment of land under horticulture and allied sectors. He also stressed the officers to mobilize the manpower in the district for enhancing the production.
Meanwhile, the DDC also took a comprehensive review of the arrangements with respect to the election of Horticultural Marketing Committees.
