SP college students clash with police in Srinagar

Srinagar,April 17: Clashes erupted in Srinagar on Monday after the students of SP College staged a protest on the MA Road to express their anger against the last week’s Pulwama Degree college incident where more than sixty students suffered injuries in forces’ action.

Witnesses said that police resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesting students on MA road, triggering clashes.“We had asked the students to stage protests at Press Colony instead of blocking the road. However, they didn’t agree and continued to block the road,” said a top police officer. CNS
