Jammu, Apr 17: State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has taken cognizance of a recent incident where a youth was allegedly tied to a security forces vehicle in Budgam area of Kashmir and has sought report from Police regarding the matter.
In a statement issued to KNS, SHRC spokesperson said the chairperson Justice (retired) Bilal Nazki observed that using a person as a shield is a prima-facie gross violation of human rights.
The Chairperson while taking cognizance of the matter, directed the SSP Budgam to furnish report regarding the same by April 27, 2017 and asked him to explain under what circumstances the incident has happened. (KNS)
