New Delhi, Apr 16: After getting tip-off from intelligence agencies about a plan to hijack aircraft, security has been stepped up and high alert has been issued at the Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad airports.
According to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sources, a mail was received by the DCP Mumbai in which a threat of hijack was mentioned.
In the mail, it was mentioned that a women heard talks among six youth who were planning to hijack planes at Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad airports.
According to CISF, ‘The mail may be a hoax one, but we cannot take risk by ignoring it.
So, have increased the security checks.
