Govt working on holistic developmental plan for JK: MoS Finance

Reasi/ April,15: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda Saturday saidthe State Government is working on a holistic plan of action to bring every region and sub-region of the State under the ambit of development.

The Minister was addressing a grievances redressal camp at Surjandhar along with district administration to resolve the public issues at their doorstep.

Calling it a robust move to access all uncharted parts of State, the Minister asserted that present dispensation is fully inclined to bring every region under the ambit of development.

“The achievements of the present Government are visible on the ground for which people have every right to give their feedback”, the Minister said adding that Saturday’s generation cannot be befooled on any front.

The Minister said developmental activities have achieved great impetus and everyone in the government is working in clean and transparent manner.

Divulging on road projects like Surjandhar to Gabar Sari in Bomag area, the Minister said strenuous efforts are being made for this road which would connect Bomag of Reasi with the Bomag of Udhampur. In this regard he assured the locals for early start of work besides upgradation of the existing Reasi-Bakkal road.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister also outlined efforts of the government in continuing work on railway project and start of work on Sawalakote Hydel Project besides sanctioning PMGSY roads and other development works in the area. He said with these works, ample employment opportunities have been opened up in such far flung areas.

Divulging on augmentation of power infrastructure in the area, the Minister assured that maximum coverage would be made after completing work on Grid Station in Reasi which was lingering for the past 27 years.

The Minister passed instructions to officers to resolve all genuine issues of the people and sought cooperation from them in making functioning of the Block and Tehsil Offices camping at Reasi effective.

Officers of Agriculture and Horticulture Departments were directed for providing seeds and plants to the people. Other departments were asked to disseminate information of all welfare schemes and insurance covers.

Earlier, District Development Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar saidthe district administration is working vigorously to resolve the issues of people pertaining to various departments.

The major issues raised by people on the occasion were functioning of Tehsil office and Block office in Bomag, inclusion of Lamsora-2 with Bomag, opening of Bank branch, improvement of all interior roads, separate Grid Station for Bomag, enhancement of VDC honorarium, staff in schools and health institutions, electrification of left out areas, completion of all govt buildings, completion of Pangan devta water supply scheme, pending payments of MGNREGA, Girl Higher Secondary school for Bomag, restoration of forest closures etc.

Among other SSP Reasi Tahir Bhat, ACD, XENs, Tehsildar, DFO, CEO and various other officers were present on the occasion.
