Srinagar/ April,14: A Srinagar woman who set herself ablaze last evening in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has succumbed to injuries at SKIMS Soura, officials said.
The deceased, identified as Zamrooda Akhtar (30), was a resident of Srigufwara Anantnag. She was married to Shabir Ahmad Khan of Rajouri Kadal.
Dr Qazi Javid, Superintendent Sub district Hospital Kangan, said that Zamrooda was admitted at the hospital with 95 percent burn injuries.
“She was critical and after giving necessary treatment, she was referred to SKIMS immediately,” he said.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gund Khurshid Ahmad said that Zamrooda succumbed at SKIMS Friday afternoon.
