Ramban/April,13: MLA Ramban, Neelam Langeh flagged off two buses of JKSRTC for Batote-Jammu route, here Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion MLA said SRTC buses have been sanctioned for this area to compensate the loss in business in Batote and surrounding areas due to the opening of the Chenani-Nashri tunnel.
While greeting the people of Ramban on the eve of Baisakhi, he appreciated them for maintaining brotherhood and harmony.
The MLA also gave a detailed resume of the developmental works taken up in Batote tehsil.
Earlier, the MLA inaugurated the Baisakhi Mela at Khank Mata temple at Assar in Doda where hundreds of people from various regions thronged. At Assar he also announced Rs.1 lakh for development work.
