Jammu/April,13: An 11 member delegation of State Congress Committee, led by its President G.A. Mir, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Thursday.
The delegation presented a memorandum which reflects on the ground situation preceding, during and consequent to the Parliamentary By-election for Srinagar seat which was held on 9th April during which voting could not take place in a number of booths in district Budgam and, besides, the law and order disturbances led to the death of 8 persons.
Governor informed the delegation that their memorandum would be duly forwarded to the Chief Election Commission and Union Home Ministry.
The delegation comprised Nawang Rigzin Jora, Sham Lal Sharma, Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Mula Ram, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Haji Abdul Rashid, Ravinder Sharma, Usmaan Majid, Mohd. Amin Bhat, and Gulzar Ahmed.
