Samba/April,8: Government is committed to provide graft-free, hassle-free access to services for encouraging entrepreneurial spirit of local, domestic and international investors towards taking up industrial ventures in the state as preferred investment destination.
This was stated by Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga during his visit to Industrial Estate SIDCO at Bari Brahmana for taking stock of ongoing development works therein.
The works are being executed under ‘The Aggregative Macro Economics and Infrastructure Rebuilding’ (TAMEIR) scheme for which funds are being provided under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).
Ganga reviewed civil works including roads, drainage system, power infrastructure, water supply among others.
The Minister took stock of construction work of bund along the Balole Nallah adjacent to Industrial Estate Phase-II. The project once completed will check soil erosion due to recurring flash floods.
The Minister said government will undertake necessary reforms for encouraging entrepreneurs to come and invest in the state. He said the government envisions creating industry-friendly atmosphere without compromising the ecological and environmental aspects of sustainable development.
Earlier, the Minister kick started construction work of tube well at SIDCO Residential complex in Bari Brahmana. The tube well will be constructed by SIDCO (Small Industries Development Corporation) at an estimated cost of Rs. 28 lakh.
The Minister directed the engineers to develop ‘environmental park’ housing ornamental plants and water fountain at SIDCO Residential Complex to provide outdoor recreational facilities to the people of industrial estate and adjacent areas.. He also directed to identify proper parking site near the park for convenience of the people.
The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, Shailendra Kumar, SDM Samba Ravinder Sharma, GM SIDCO, Vikram Gupta, Superintendent Engineer D K Razdan, Executive Engineer SIDCO Pankaj SIDCO and concerned senior officers.
