DEO Ganderbal reviews poll preparedness

Ganderbal/April,7: District Election Officer Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Friday chaired a meeting to review arrangements for forthcoming Srinagar Parliamentary Elections in the district.
SSP Ganderbal, ADC Ganderbal, ARO’s, Nodal Officers, Sectoral Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the DEO impressed the Sectoral officers to ensure facilities like safe drinking water, electricity, furniture and ramps at all the designated 208 polling stations in the district as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
He further directed the concerned officers to ensure tanker service at the polling stations where regular drinking water supply is not available.
The DEO also asked the ARO’s to ensure that the best possible arrangements are put in place at the polling stations in the district so that electorates can exercise their franchise without any inconvenience.
He stressed on coordinated efforts to ensure smooth, free and fair election process in the district.
