Ramban/April,7: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Friday convened a meeting of all stake holders and concerned officers to review progress on implementation of cashless transaction system in various departments and business establishments in the district.
DDC instructed bankers to speed up process of covering all shopkeepers and customers under cashless payment systems along with Aadhaar seeding. He asked officers to select one ward at a time from each MC to make it fully digitized.
DDC directed LDM to provide ATM to all account holders for effectively implementing cashless system in district besides issuing Point of Sale (PoS) machines and conducting training sessions for shopkeepers. He asked them to take services of bank Mitras for completing 100% seeding of Aadhaar.
He directed LDM and other concerned officers to conduct a Digital Mela to create awareness among people. He also reviewed the progress of social security schemes like MUDRA, stand up India, PMJDY.
The meeting was informed that digital modes of payment are being employed for almost all official transactions.
Lead Bank Manager informed that over 86800 debit card holders are expected to be linked with Aadhaar seeding.
ADDC Ravinder Nath Sadhu, ADC Angrez Singh Rana, CPO Uttam Singh, ACD Mohammad Jhangir, LDM MK Pandita, DIO NIC, Bankers and officers of other departments attended the meeting.
