Pulwama/April,7: Reiterating her pledge to take development to every region and area, PDP President and Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti said her Government has rolled out a massive developmental programme for all areas and asked people to support the Government in taking benefits of these programmes to the doorstep of people.
Addressing the workers meetings of Rajpora and Tral constituencies here on Friday, Mehbooba Mufti said in every sector of governance, her Government has decided to extend, upgrade and improve the basic services and facilities to people and sought their support in the successful implementation of the same. “Be it hospitals or schools, colleges or sports fields, my Government  has decided to upgrade the facilities wherever these are and set up the same where these have not yet been extended”, she told the workers.
Referring to the tourism potential in the Rajpora-Tral belt, Mehbooba Mufti said the area is known for some virgin and old locations like Shikargaah and Sangarwani adding her Government would take steps to upgrade infrastructure at these places which would attract a large number of tourists. Similarly, she said, the area is known for a chain of springs which once conserved would attract a large number of adventure lovers as well.
Mehbooba Mufti regretted that Tral remained off the developmental process during the last three decades which resulted in immense difficulties to the locals. She said her Government has prioritized development of Tral and many projects and schemes, including connectivity projects, have either been started or conceived for Tral. She appealed people of the area to support the Government in its efforts to extend benefits of development to the area.
Senior leader and Finance Minister, Dr. Haseeb Drabu,  MLA, Tral, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and District President, Pulwama, Advocate Abdul Ghani also addressed the meetings.
Meanwhile, scion of a prominent religious family of Budgam, Agha Syed Mohsin joined the Party Friday. He is the son of prominent political activist and religious scholar late Agha Syed Mehdi.
The Party President formally welcomed Agha Mohsin into the Party fold.
Speaking on the occasion, Agha Mohsin said he has been observing the working of the Party for quite long and has come to conclude that PDP is the only Party which works for the interests of poor, marginalized and backward commties.
Senior leaders and Ministers Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari and Syed Basharat Bukhari and District President, Muntazir Mohiuddin also spoke on the occasion.
