EVM preparation for Sonwar, Batamaloo assembly segments held

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Srinagar/April, 4: In connection with the forthcoming bye-elections for Srinagar-2 Parliamentary Constituency, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) preparations for 24-Sonwar and 25-Batamaloo assembly segment of Srinagar seat was held here Tuesday.

During the process, the agents of contesting candidates and other concerned were present. With the completion of EVM preparations for these two assembly segments, EVM preparation for all the eight assembly segments in Srinagar district has been completed.
