Srinagar/April, 4: Bharatiya Janata Party high command has asked its party workers to campaign for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in Lok Sabha bypolls in Srinagar and Anantnag seats, where polling will be held on April 9 and 12 respectively.
State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul Tuesday asked the party workers to ensure participation in the voting for PDP candidates.
“Since BJP and PDP are coalition parties in government, we should support PDP candidates for their victory,” Kaul told party District Presidents, District In charges and Constituency Presidents of Anantnag and Srinagar seats.
He said, a special party meet was organized with party workers to send a clear message to them to support PDP candidates, party spokesman said here this afternoon.
Kaul has said Congress has frustration after the party disappeared across the country and emergence of BJP. “People want ‘Congress Mukt’ country, which has frustrated its leaders,” Kaul said, adding, people have accept the BJP from Kaniya Kumari to Kashmir for its good governance and development model in the country.
BJP, MLC, Sofi Yousuf, speaking on the occasion asked party District Presidents, District in charges and Constituency Presidents of Anantnag and Srinagar seats to ensure PDP candidates victory.
“You have the chance to defeat Congress and National Conference (NC) candidates by participating in Lok Sabha polls,” Sofi told workers, adding, supporting PDP candidate is to support the BJP candidate.
He asked workers to start door to door visits and intensify campaign for PDP candidates in both the constituencies.
