Srinagar, Apr 05: Over 30 people sustained injuries after a slab of a house collapsed during a marriage ceremony in Srinagar, officials said.
The officials told KNS that over 30 people including men and women sustained injuries in the intervening night of Tuesday–Wednesday in at Vicharnag Nowshehra area of Srinagar when a slab of a house collapsed.
“Over a dozen of people sustained severe injuries while scores received minor injuries in the incident,” officials informed KNS, adding that the injured persons were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Director Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Dr A G Ahanger informed KNS that they received at least 31 persons who had sustained injuries during the incident.
“Some of the people had received injuries in leg while some among them have received in head and other parts of the body. The injured persons are currently undergoing treatment in the institute,” he added. (KNS)
