Floral tributes paid to slain cop Shameem Ahmad
Srinagar, April 03: To pay homage to police Constable Shameem Ahmad, a wreath laying ceremony was held in DPL Srinagar.
Deputy Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi, civil, police/ security force officers and policemen laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains of the martyr.
Besides, the Deputy speaker the wreaths and flowers were laid by the father of the slain constable, DGP Dr. S.P Vaid, IGP Kashmir S.J.M Gillani, IGP Armed/IRP Shri Mubarak Ganaie, IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi, DIG CKR Shri Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lone, DIG Armed Kashmir Rafiq-ul-Hassan, DIG SSB R. K. Bhumbla and a good number of SPs, Dy SPs, Inspectors and constables.
As has been reported earlier constable Shameem Ahamd Sheikh resident of Gurez at present Bandipora was injured when some unknown militants hurled a grenade on deployments in Nowhatta Srinagar. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
