Shopian/March,31:The second phase of election training program for officials to be deputed in Shopian for the upcoming Parliamentary bye-elections for Anantnag constituency concluded here Friday.
The training program was held from March 27 to March 31, 2017, during which 1100 officials from Education Department, PHE, FCS&CA, Revenue, Treasury, DIC and other Departments were imparted a first-hand knowledge about election related matters like role of presiding and polling officers, filling up of statutory/ non- statutory forms, handling of election material etc.
While speaking on the occasion, the District Election Officer, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri said such training programs are organized with an aim to equip the officials with technical know-how for smooth conduct of the election process.
