Jammu/March,30: IRP 15th Battalion Thursday organized a sports meet here at Government Middle School Gorkha Nagar Jammu under Civic Action Program-2017.
The program was held under the guidance of PHQ J&K, ADGP Armed J&K, L. Mohanty, IGP Armed/IR Jammu, Shafkat Watali and DIG IR Jammu Vijay Kumar. The sports meet was inaugurated by Anita Sharma, SSP Commandant IRP 15th Battalion as the chief guest. In her address she laid stress on motivating and inspiring the girl students to participate in the sports activities so that their energy is channelized in right direction. During the event, girl students participated in sports like Volley Ball, Kho-Kho, Badminton, chess and sack race.
At the conclusion of function, Anita Sharma distributed Track Suits, Bags, Tiffin, Sports articles, refreshment and prizes /medals among the winner /runner up students. Sports officer and the School head were honored by presenting mementos.
The Headmaster of the school thanked IRP-15th Bn and appreciated the role of Police Department to carry out such type of events to promote /strengthen the Police-Public relations. Among others the function was attended by Savita Parihar, Dy CO, Naresh Singh, SP, Gulzar Rashid Magray, Dy SP, Jugal Kishore, Dy SP, Jaidev Sharma Rtd DySP, Committee members of the school and other prominent citizens of the area.
