Badminton tournament organized by IRP 6th BN concludes

Srinagar/March,30: Badminton tournament organized by IRP 6th Bn under civic action programme at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Stadium Srinagar concluded. DIG Armed/IRP Kashmir Shri Rafiq-ul-Hassan was the chief guest on the occasion.

The players under the age of 14, 17 and 19 years participated in the tournament. About 200 players from different backgrounds participated in the tournament including the players from prominent schools of Srinagar City like Burn-Hall, Scholars School Natipora, Model High School Rajbagh and Shah-I-Hamdan School Bemina.

In under 13 (Girls/Boys) Serish and Aman Mir emerged as winners, in under 15 Singles (Girls/Boys) Madeeha and Sharanveer Singh emerged as winners, under 17 (Girls/Boys)  Dua Abid and Mohammad Issa, under 19 (Girls/Boys) Injeela and Asif Farooq emerged as winners.

In singles (Women/Men) Azra and Aadan emerged as winners while in doubles (Men’s) Aadan and Nisar emerged as winners.

DIG Armed/IRP Kashmir Rafiq-ul-Hassan distributed the trophies among the runner-up and winner-up players.

Among others Commandant IRP 6th Bn Shri S.S Kotwal, SSP Railway Shri Dilip Kumar, Commandant JKAP 9^th Bn Shri Hanid-ul-Lah, Adjutant IRP 6th Bn Shri Tahir Ashraf Bhatti and other officers were present.
