										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Poonch: A three-week Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) today concluded at Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute&#8217;s Poonch centre in which 43 unemployed youth including ten females were trained for self-employment.<br />
The candidates were trained in services and agri-allied sectors at JKEDI District Centre, Poonch under the Himayat Self Employment Scheme (HSES) of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.<br />
The training program was modeled for manufacturing, services and agri-allied activities. The aspirants were trained for dairy farming, establishment of small business ventures like manufacturing of hollow blocks, multi-utility stores, beauty salon, shuttering houses, retail and wholesale outlets, automobile workshops, drug stores and electrical goods etc. in different areas of Poonch district. The trained youth hailed from Mandi, Surankote, Bafliaz and Mendhar areas of the frontier district Poonch. Special sectoral training was also provided to the trainees during the three-week EDP. A field-visit of the trainees to the successful business ventures in Poonch district was also part of the training program.In the next phase, the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of the trained candidates shall be prepared by the Institute for their respective activities, to be followed by preparation of financial appraisals and another related process for disbursement of funds to enable the trained candidates to establish their business ventures.<br />
The program was coordinated by JKEDI District Centre, Poonch while the training was imparted by a special team of trainers from the institute’s Regional Centre, Jammu including Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan, Associate Senior Faculty, Vishal Ray, Faculty and Rajesh Kotwal, Communication Associate.District Centre, Poonch has already started fresh registration for another training program for which application forms can be obtained on all working days from JKEDI District Centre, Pooncha at District Employment and Counseling Centre (DECC), Poonch.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Poonch: A daily wager of Public Health Engineering (Jal Shakti department) allegedly committed suicide in Poonch district of Jammu division on Monday while his family stated that he was distressed due to improper release of wages.</p>
<p>Reyaz Ahmed, a resident of Poonch, was working as a casual laborer in the department from the last twenty years but was under stress due to improper release of wages.</p>
<p>Nisar Ahmed, said that his brother was under stress and was working as a daily wager in the department from twenty years as he was getting a meager amount of Rs sixty thousand, which was inadequate to meet the daily needs of the family.<br />
DC B’Pora inaugurates intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0<br />
Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Monday inaugurated Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 3.0 at Health and Wellness Centre Pazalpora.<br />
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that IMI 3.0 is an initiative by the government to provide immunization free of cost to pregnant women and children across the country and to strengthen and re-energize the programme and achieve full immunization coverage for all children and pregnant women at a rapid pace.<br />
The DC expressed his elation at the elaborate preparations to immunise every mother and child in the district.<br />
The Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0 will have two rounds starting from February 22 and March 22, 2021.<br />
Dr Owais urged the officers to work in close coordination with the field staff to ensure cent percent coverage under the mission.<br />
The DC was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer, Dr Bashir Ahmad, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, District Immunization Officer, Consultant and DMEIO.</p>

“He has been arrested in connection with case FIR No. 292/2020 P/S Mendhar and is also involved in many other cases,” a police<br />
“Sher Ali was also involved in drug smuggling along with smuggling of arms and ammunition and 2 Kgs heroine worth approx. Rs 8 crores in the international market,” the officer said, adding, “So-far from this network 5 Pistols, 13 grenades and one live IED has been recovered. Further investigation is in progress.”<br />
Sher Ali also smuggled arms and ammunition which included 3 pistols and 1 IED besides other ammunition through Balakote Sector in Mendhar district Poonch. The receiver of these Arms and ammunition namely Mushtaq Ahmed (father of Sher Ali) and Raskeem Akhter (sister of Sher Ali) were arrested by Poonch Police on 11-9-2020 and FIR was registered at P/S Mendher in this regard.<br />
So-far 05 OGWs namely 1/- Mushtafa R/O Kandi Galuta, 2/- Mohd Yaseen R/O Dabbi Balakote, 3/- Younis 4/- Irfan and 5/- Raskeem have been arrested who were involved in the terror network led by Sher Ali.</p>

<p>In this programme about 80 students and other Staff members of the School participated.On this occasion Advocate Bhanu Partap the resource person while speaking through light on Basic of Scheme with special reference to Acid attack Survivors and rape victims. Advocate Tahir Mehmood Qadri also spoke on the Occasion . The Staff of DLSA Poonch, PLV’s were also present. During the awareness programme light refreshment was also given to the students.</p>
<p>5 Municipal Councilors from Chadoora join JKAP, Manhas welcomes them into party fold</p>
<p>Srinagar:A delegation of Municipal Committee councilors from Chadoora on Friday joined Apni Party at the Party office in Lal Chowk Srinagar.</p>
<p>The councilors who joined Apni Party included: Nasir Ahmad Dar, Shubeena Nabi, Fareeda, Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Mohammad Aslam Wani.</p>
<p>The joining ceremony took place in presence of Apni Party Vice- President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh and District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor.</p>
<p>Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas urged the new entrants to serve the people at their council level selflessly and resolve their grievances on prompt basis.</p>

Women Welfare Officer; Priya Sharma stressed on the importance of menstrual hygiene, and said that ‘if we want to remove the stigma of Menstrual Hygiene from the society, we have to educate the masses.’<br />
District Coordinators Tirath Kour and Nooreen Azam also enlightened them about the care to be taken during menstrual cycle.</p>

Officials said that a missing report has been filed before police after two BSF constables went missing in Rajouri yesterday.<br />
They said that both the constables of General Duty category were posted in BSF camp at Sunderbani sub-district headquarter in Rajouri district.<br />
&#8220;A missing report has been lodged by BSF battalion at Sunderbani police station after the duo went missing,” the officials said.<br />
They said that there is no trace of both the missing constables so far</p>

<p>Martyrs&#8217; Day is an annual day observed by nations to salute the martyrdom of soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation and it is the social,moral and ethical duty of everyone to respect India’s Independence and remember how it was achieved.</p>
<p>Freedom fighters are the source of inspiration for the youth of India as they came forward and fought with bravery for independence of the country.</p>
<p>On the occasion,all the district officers of Poonch district gathered at one place and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters.A siren was blown after which two minutes silence from 11 AM to 11:02 AM started which ended with another siren.</p>
<p>Similar functions were reciprocated at the sub divisional levels and even the public stood still and observed silence for two minutes.</p>
