JKSSB approves the Selections for 60 posts of driver for five new GMC’s

Jammu : The J&K Services Selection Board Wednesday convened 169th Board meeting under the chairmanship of Chairman JKSSB Khalid Jahangir at Central office, JKSSB Bahuplaza, Jammu and approved the selections for the 60 posts of Driver under item no. 040 of advertisement notification no.’s 01, 02,03 ,04 and 05 of 2019.
The Board meeting was attended by its Members M.Shafiq Chak, Angrez Singh Rana, Pritam Lal Atri and Harvinder Kour. Controller of Examination JKSSB Musheer Ahmad Mirza, Special Secretary Law Jung Bahadur, Secretary, JKSSB Ranjeet Singh and other officers of the Board assisted the Board in the conduct of its proceedings.
The above mentioned vacancies of Drivers were referred to the J&K Services Selection Board by the Department of Health and Medical Education Department for newly created five GMC’s in the year 2019. Subsequently, Advertisement Notice was issued by the SSB in the year 2019, which was followed by written examination and driving test, in accordance with the selection criteria fixed by the Board for these posts.
Accordingly, selection list in line with the laid down selection criteria was prepared which has been approved by the SSB Wednesday in its meeting referred to above.
The Board also took up the 192 cases of withheld recommendations in respect of Naib Tehsildars, Junior Staff Nurses, Paramedical positions relating to the Government Medical Colleges and recently released Junior Assistant list pertaining to District Doda for deliberation. Out of aforesaid withheld recommendations cases, the Board approved 20 withheld recommendations of Naib Tehsildars and 150 recommendations relating to various posts of new GMCs for release. Similarly, about 12 recommendations were decided to be released for various posts of other categories.
In addition, the Board also decided to cancel the recommendations in case of 04 candidates, thus paving way for appointment of candidates figuring in the Waiting List as per the merit. The Board also deliberated upon 06 Court related matters and took appropriate decisions for implementing the directions/orders of the High Court.
The Board also advise candidates to communicate with the Board through the official Email Id [email protected] for furnishing of documents/ representations for seeking redressal of their issues/grievances due to prevailing situation of Covid-19. The communications received through E Mail are taken cognizance of and disposed in accordance with the laid down procedure in a time bound manner.
The Chairman complimented the efforts of the Members, Officers and staff of the Board for making small but significant contribution in providing jobs to unemployed youth, during the tough situation created by COVID-19 Pandemic.
