Srinagar: A 40-year-old man was found dead in River Jehlum at Gantmulla Colony in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district here on Tuesday.
Officials said the deceased who went missing a week ago, was found dead today.
“The decomposed body of Ghulam Hassan Gojree, son of Abdul Rahim Gojree of Jamia Baramulla was fished out from River Jehlum at LJHP gate in Gantmulla Baramulla this afternoon,” they said.
A police official said that Gojree was reported missing last week and inquest proceedings are underway to ascertain the cause of his death.
“A case has been registered in this regard while further investigation has been taken up,” he said
