Srinagar/April,26: Former President Employees Joint Action Committee(EJAC) and a top social activist Abdul Qayoom Wani on Sunday welcomed the release of Chairman Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) and several others. He however sought both political and apolitical PSA detainees including Kashmir High Court Bar Association President Minnesota Abdul Qayoom keeping in view the increasing Covid-19 spread threat and advice of the health specialists.
In a statement issued on Sunday Wani Wani hailed the decision of revocation of PSA on Mohd Yaseen khan President kashmir Economic Alliance(KEA) and others . He however simultaneously demanded immediate revocation of PSA on other detainees whether political or apolitical in view of the fear of covid 19 and the holy month of Ramdaan. Wani also said that some detainees being senior citizens like Bar Association President Mian Abdul Qayoom and others having a critical ailment histories are prone to covid 19 as per Health experts and as such their release needs to be considered on humantarian grounds .
