Srinagar/May,25: A five-member delegation led by senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar called on Hurriyat (M) chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence in Srinagar on Thursday.
Sources said that the delegation reached at the residence of the Hurriyat (M) chairman at 10:30 am to discuss the prevailing situation in the valley.
The delegation, comprising senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, O P Shah, Air Vice Marshal (retd) Kapil Kak and Vinod Sharma, had earlier participated in a seminar organized by an NGO, Peace and Progress.
The leaders are likely to meet Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani later today.
