Srinagar: In view of the restrictions enforced in the district and understanding the need for availability of this service the Srinagar administration has collaborated with a leading sale and service provider of Maruti vehicles in the district Jamkash Vehicleades to provide on-road car repair services to residents.
This was informed in a meeting with the head of the Jamkash Vehicleades convened under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
Under this initiative car repair needs of urgent nature can be availed on-road upon request.
Those requiring the service will need to call Jamkash Vehicleades’ toll-free helpline number 18001210911 and rest assured that its mobile workshops will reach them wherever required.
The service provider has made a fleet of at least ten such mobile workshops available for this purpose. The district administration is providing all requisite support and assistance to the service provider.
Speaking on the occasion the DC said the service will be prioritised for vehicles being used for essentials services provision in the district in view of their special requirements but will be available to all residents requiring it.
He said the administration understands the need for this service and reached out to the service provider for providing this service to residents.
Under this service all repair needs will be provided on the spot. Vehicles having met accidents and requiring relevant repairs will be towed to base station of the service provider and repaired there and will be handed back at the choice of address of the owner after repair.
It is notable that the Srinagar administration is putting in place different kinds of facilities for the convenience of the residents in view of restrictions put in place due to COVID-19 outbreak and in efforts to contain its spread in the district.
