Kulgam/April 13 : A retired Army man shot at by unknown gunmen on Sunday evening in Buchroo area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, succumbed to his injuries Monday morning at army hospital Badamibagh Srinagar
Officials said the gunmen fired upon a retired Army man identified as Abdul Hamid Mantoo son of Gh Hassan Mantoo on sunday evening at Buchroo kulgam.
“He was shifted to PHC Qaimoh in critical condition wherefrom he was referred to GMC Anantnag hospital for specialized treatment,” officials said.
As reported already the Army man had sustained bullet wounds and was shifted to army hospital Srinagar.
Police has also taken cognizance of the incident and registered FIR under relevant sections of law and further investigation has been taken up,” the officer said
